A bunch of you guys were talking awhile back about a connection speedometer (Krusty a la Wireless network I think).
I want to see how fast this resnet thing is. Does someone have a link?
Easier for someone to just tell me than for me to search through old threads...

I dunno. I think the problem is with the network, not my comp. What witht he recent move and change with services and the never have having had the problem before.
PS I just used the bold to emphasize my semi-proper use of three forms of had.

It sounds like your NIC card has been reconfigured to a different setting. I think its stuck on full duplex. The correct setting should be set to Auto or 100/half duplex. To do this you must:
1) right click on my computer, choose click properties
2) select tab Hardware
3) Then click Device Manager
4) Choose network adapters,
5) select your ethernet NIC card, right click on it, choose porperties
6) Click on the advance tad, you should see a list of options
7) Next choose an option called " Link speed/Duplex Mode"
8) on your right should be a box named "Value" make sure its set to Auto Mode.
9) restart your computer
I not really sure, but this should work. I'm assuming that you are using XP. Lister is a Sys. Admin, I'm pretty sure he will know and aggie. Slayer, before you make the changes, make sure you made a restore point, just in case.

I guess you can speed up your connection by tweaking your PC, but you'd have to read the guide that is somewhere on that site to figure out how to do it.
