Just curious to what people thought about this movie. I was dissapointed a bit on how they ended it.

Pisn, its worth the 8 duckets to see the battle of Zion on the big screen.

/me thinks he's just gonna save the $8 and wait for it to be released on DVD.

But if you notice, he actually said "Neo" at the end, not Mr. Anderson. He has never called him Neo. This would suggest that the Matrix itself was trying to "repair" itself and make the two become one.

Scharfy Posted - 11/19/2003 : 02:50:02
Hmmm. But Smith was saying, "It is pointless to resist Mr.Anderson." Blah Blah. Then he says, "No, no, no! But that's not fair! You can't do that!"(Or something like that.) He grins. Walks up to Neo and absorbs him. Then asks the newly formed Smith, "Is it over?" He nods. Then the Smith that beat Neo looks up and sees the other Smith's exploding.(Or something like that.) Then they all explode.

So this leads me to believe he saw this going to happen.

wrong-o. Cant see past the choices dealy-bob.

Scharfy Posted - 11/19/2003 : 00:36:19
What I don't understand is Smith saw what would happen if he absorbed Neo yet he still did it.

I bet if Neo was out of the picture, she would run to Smith as fast as she could. She just thought Neo would win.

Not the same powers. Neo had the power to snag Trinity.

Score one for Neo

TicklemeElmo Posted - 11/18/2003 : 18:44:13
smith was neo's equal, because the matrix was trying to balance everything. neo=superpowerful, smith=superpowerful anti-hero,they have the same powers.

Sodium,
Based on the definition of a virus from Principles of Information Systems Sixth edition:" A virus is a program that attaches itself to other programs." Yes, smith did attach himself to other programs but how he received his power is from taking the coded information from the hosts he took or tried to take over. This was apparent with the ****** incident.

I think smith's tangle with Neo in the first and second movie gave rise to his thought processes of his original programming, which evolved into a sense of intelligence. In other words, if smith was a java applet he was no longer bound by the barriers of the "java sand box" but instead became a java script.

So I would add that not only is smith a virus but also one with AI.

What if the matrix was really a program that was nested inside another program and the telephone ringing enabling transport back was just on program dialing into another program. This would easliy explain the upload equipment (brain plug) for higher speeds and the download equipment (telephone lan lines)for disconnecting from the net.

Smith can fly because he's become a computer virus and he infected everyone in the Matrix. Everyone. That means he can wield all their powers through one duplicate of himself...

I'm thinking that would let him fly.

Wow, I am surpised on how few of you understand it.

To Blitz:
About the black cats. When Neo saw the deja vu with the black cats. It had nothing to do with the black cat. The black cat had nothing to do with it. It was just staying that when a deja vu happened there is a change in the matrix.

To Pimps-a-lot:
Smith could fly when Neo flow into his body or when he changes the matrix to his likings. You can decided on that.

To Slayer:
I agree. That was the best fight scene out of all of them.

But I got some questions too.

What is the head machine really? Is it all those small ones mix with the real big one?
Also I know the head machine is in the matrix. But which one is he? The Frenchman or the guy Neo talks to in Reloaded?

That movie wasn't worth the 8.50 I paid. Since when can smith FLY, the religious overtones were too blatent, and the action left something to be desired.

The first one was a great suspence movie with great action and plot(key word here being suspence). The secound movie was an action movie with decent action and a passable plot. The third movie tried to be an action/drama and failed miserably at both with the exception of the first 5 minutes of the dock battle but even that got old after another 15 minutes.

The fastest Pimphand in the west.
Atriedis Posted - 11/16/2003 : 15:55:57
on the third one i kept expecting to see damage bars like in an arcade game appear on the top of the screen when neo and smith were fighting...

yea, I have to agree with Jester. The 1st one was probably the koolest, I thought. Originality did make it the best (and the awesome fight scene in the hallway)!

I dunno. As far as fight scenes go, there are few that I saw that compare coolness wise to the courtyard scene in reloaded with the pole.

I liked the first one best (just because of origionality) but overall i though the 3rd was teh best action wise. Not much in the Matrix, but the last fight scene sucked.
