Oh, so we're counting half-cannibalized systems too?
In the other room there sits an old 286, a Compaq Presario 586, a PII 266 mHz system with 256 meg ram, win98, and about 3 gigs worth of my old starcraft stuff.... GUEdit, a UMS map that plays Chess, a map hack, 6 different versions of StarEdit, the only non-encrypted copy of Demon Incubus, a file splitter, a neat script that lets you take over the AI, a couple of isometrics editors... anyone who plays(played) starcraft will know what i'm talking about.

talk about computer geeks.....j/k...i beat you guys are geniuses at computers i feel so alone with my lone computer playing tribes2 so cold with no heat coming from the pc well while raping the enemy base oh well ..

I didn't bring all my computers to university with me, but I own:
This 1 GHz Athlon Thunderbird
A Pentium 133 system
A Pentium 120 system
And also a 386 and 486.
The last 3 sit under my bed, and I gave the 133 to my parents when I bought this one. I don't know jack about all those other computers, I just take them apart a lot.

1 p2 233 system acting as a linux webserver/email server (communal)

2 inspiron 600m laptops (1 mine)

Yeah, my favorite software is Norton's MSblaster cleaning tool, because it helps me trick other people into thinking I know what I am doing when it comes to computers.

Hold up, let me tale you guys what I'm using. I have a:
1)XP gaming machine with 2800 Athlon XP proc. and ATI9700 Pro graphix card.
2)An old E-machine celeron 466mhz, installed Linux mandrake 9.1, College linux/Unix.
3)IBM Thinkpad laptop with Windows 2000, and college linux/Unix.
4) 2 other computers I use just for parts or for experiments.
5) (Just FYI) And my favorite software besides tribes is Partition Magic 8.0

wow talk about comupter gear i just have a flat lcd screen monitor and pc and a printer yep thats all i got and i am proud of that...and do any of you guys can be playing on cpa server at once with moe than one player now thats really cool and thats how the magic of lister goes about that one comupter for kicking azz

Well, the idea was to recreate Tribes 1 physics, which were an accident in the first place.
But the physics isn't what I'm worried about. I'm kinda sad to see some of the things I loved about Tribes2 not make it into T:V.
What bothers most people is that there will be no client side scripting allowed, due to the engine or something like that.
I dunno, if it brings together the Tribes 1 + Tribes 2 communities + the General public (because of the very involved single player aspect), I'm all for it. More players = more ladders/ladder activity and more pubs. Tribes 2 is on its last legs in these aspects. There are very few good classic pub servers left.

T:V = Tibes Vengeance?
I got a bad feeling about this "prequel". From watching the movies they've put out, the physics of the game are going to be very different. And who wants a toilet tank strapped to their back?

Kyle = P133 that I use to test ghost images on for work

My home system likes to call itself "Little_Bunny32" Because it's the name most fitting.
Intel P3 966 mHz Coppermine processor with 512 meg ram, and I'm running a freaking Geforce 2 MX.. I mean, gimme a break. Nate needs new computer. And a fibre-optic line.

The LCD on the left is what I have my server status page and team speak running on. The heat really isnt a problem- all my monitors are LCD's and there is only two pc's running. The shuttle and a server that is not seen in the picture. The pc under the lcd on the left is not in working order at this time (needs a hard drive). And Dilbert is loaded up with M&M's for that quick rush needed to play tribes.
