I will now post a message to a message board in hopes of feeling like it allows me to take a nice long break.
Sunday evening: worked on a hisotry paper and slept 6 hours
Monday evening: worked on history paper and slept 2 hours (7a-9a)
Tuesday afternoon: worked on a compilers assignment and slept 1 hour (4p-5p)
Tuesday evening: worked on compilers assignment and slept 5 hours (6a-11a)
Wednesday evening: worked on compilers and AI and slept 2 hours (9a-11a)
It is now Thursday afternoon. History paper was turned in on Tuesday. Compilers assignment is due in 11 hours and there is still several hours worth of work to be done. AI assignment is due in 25 hours and there is still a good full day + all nighter worth of work to do.
I'm just glad I have such a special friend. His name is caffiene.
Hours of sleep since Monday morning at 9am: 10
Hours of awake since Monday morning at 9am: 65
predicted additional sleep until Friday at 2pm: 3 hours
predicted additional awake until Friday at 2pm: 23 hours
Ok, I'm off to do more homework. After those calculations, I'm not doing all that bad on sleep. The average sleep to awake ratio is 1/3. I'm currently at 1/6.5 which ain't too horrible.

Yeah, pretty much.
It's the largest collection of idiots on the internet.
But there are some good people.
You just have to know what your doing. TW is great because:
A) Its faster than any major news-source as far as developments go.
B) It brings teh funny.
There are a lot of idiots doing what they do best over there...being idiots.
Edit: And the only flaw in yuor analogy is that on TW, there is no reason to be getting a vehicle. They generally can't do anything unless you make yourself look like an idiot first.

So you're saying everyone in GD is a bunch of pad snipers and blaster cloakers: They only attack you when they know you can't defend yourself. As soon as you do start to fight back, they boost away out of fear of being shot only to come back later and try the same thing.

Its not as bad as all that.
It basically comes down to not saying anything stupid that you can't defend well. I have made a good 500 posts there and nobody has been able to flame me yet. And its a very interesting place to lurk.

Yeah, I don't like no rules. A webforum filled with f***heads is just as unpleasant as a real life building filled with f***heads. The only difference is that I can't punch these f***heads in the face in a webforum.
I can fight off 2 or 3 flamers and come out smelling like roses but when it comes to a 100 flamer gang bang, I'll come out all bruised and sticky no matter what. I don't wanna be bruised and sticky.
The only large webforum that I frequent is overclockers.com and that forum is HEAVILY moderated to keep the flamers and trolls out. It's a significantly better online experience when you don't have 12-year-old kids comparing you to their corn-speckled excrement.

There is a strict no-flame rule in TT. Basically because thats where the T:V developers post and Colosus doesn't want them scared away by the trolls.
What you saw in that thread was very mild. There are 100+ page hate threads for random people in there.
Oh, and for the inexperienced, GD is short for the General Discussion forum on TW. It's a completely different ballgame than this. Always ~300 people viweing/posting and no rules.

Ah, so it's a little of everything.
Cal wants to see me get flamed.
To be honest, what I was hoping to see was a bunch of EAST flaming. If more people dislike EAST, then it's not as bad for me to have a grudge. Apparently other people also have grudges of sorts.
Perhaps I'll humor everyone and post it in GD if I can find someone to host the image. It's a 150k image and GD seems to have a LOT more visitors.
So is there a pretty scrict anti-flaming rule in the Tribes Discussion area or something? Or do some people just prefer to keep it out of there to keep at least one forum clean and tidy?

For the record, some of the people telling you to go to GD want to flame you, some want everyone else who doesn't visit TT to see the anti-East thing, and some like the way you defended yourself.
I still don;t suggest it though. :o

Unfortunately, the only way to keep a discussion involving sensitive issues such as religion is to not discuss it at all. It only takes one overzealous person to make an exciting debate to sour.
