Posted - 03/20/2004 : 19:17:39 All of a sudden my E Drive (CD ROM) is working, but its not. By that I mean, the Device Manager shows its working properly, it opens and closes and lights up. But whenever I put a CD in, it doesn't load the CD, and if I try to open the Control Panel and open the Drive, it says its not ready. I've had to resort to using my Burner to load CDs, but its incredibly slow in comparison to my CD Rom. Any help!?!?
I'm on Win98 if it helps.

Posted - 03/21/2004 : 09:33:35 I only have a few left and they are much slower, probably around 36X or something. I salvaged them from broken machines.

Posted - 03/21/2004 : 08:28:46 Aggie, is it a fast one? I dont know if mines fast, it says 56X and I just installed Neverwinter Nights too! WOO 2nd game ever, and i'm addicted to getting my ass kicked. How much for it?
I'll go get me a CD Rom cleaner here in about an hr and try it too. I could probably use it on my Car's CD Player as well..

LMAO!
Email me your address, I might just send you one. It takes me a long time to send stuff out, I am lazy. Ask slip and jester about how long it took them to get their stuff. I sent biggie a burner about a year ago. It took me about 3 weeks to finaly get around to ship it.

Step 2. Apply hammer to computer at high velocity.
Repeat step 2 50 times. That ought to fix it.
