Posted - 06/09/2004 : 14:00:01 I'm having some problems playing tribes. When I'm looking around, it seems every so often my mouse will not respond for a split second, then, it'll cause me to look around all over the place uncontrolably for another split second. I have no idea what's causing this, but it's a huge pain in the butt. It only happens in tribes. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! -Mike

Posted - 06/13/2004 : 04:00:55 Yeah, most optical mice do that. I guess I got lucky when I bought one that doesn't.

Posted - 06/11/2004 : 12:41:54 Mine does that once in a while too. It just freaks out and all you see is the sky spinning and it makes you wanna get off the ride...But I've noticed it outside of Tribes though. It will just randomly shoot up to the top left of my screen all of a sudden, but it's fine as soon as I move it. Must be something about laser meeses, like it reset itself or something. But who knows.

Posted - 06/11/2004 : 11:19:33 It's only the mouse. I can still move with E,S,D,F perfectly. Maybe it's because my mouse is plugged into the wrong jack. I have about four hundred jacks in the back of my computer, and the mouse one popped out while i was fiddeling with firewire. Scanned for Adware/Spyware, none found. Scanned for Viruses, none found. Still have to defrag... Computers hate me.

Posted - 06/10/2004 : 23:29:41 umm...most likely your own computer....close background programs, try running with/without the drivers (what you aren't already doing).
umm....could be that your video card is too slow...is it just the mouse or also the game?

Posted - 06/10/2004 : 01:54:19 is your computer one of those sony vaios? in my experience with those the vaio support agent ( the ambulance thingy in the taskbar) seems to cause mouse lag in a few games..

reinstall tribes perhaps?
It sounds to me like your compuer may be hiccuping. Perhaps it, for some odd reason, needs to access your hard drive once in a while instead of memory. Try doing a virus scan, an ad aware check, and a disk defragmentation and see if that solves the problem.
