Posted - 08/16/2002 : 07:40:41 How bad is it in your area? I live about 30 miles northwest of Philadelphia.
The corn fields around here should be just about ready for harvesting. Instead the corn is half the height it should be and dead. There isn't a single green plant in the fields. I feel very bad for the local farmers. IT's gotta be extremely rough.
Everyone's lawns here are brown. You're allowed to water plants, but not lawns. Even the plants that get watered are showing signs of the extreme heat we've had here. They are burnt on the edges of leaves and don't flower as much.
