Hey there!

Today I decided to have a little fun and try to host my own server but as i installed all the neccessary files to host a mousemod dedicated server, and when I ran the t2start.bat file from the Tribes/gamedata folder, and then infinite spawn begins its process, but i consistantly get UE's, and no response on a very rare occasion. I know there has to be more to hosting a server then just this, so please help.

Thanks and God Bless

First of all:

HEY! Aren't you supposed to be not playing tribes?

Second of all:

I dunno.

Some scripts UE a server. Try either a clean install or move your scripts out of gamedata\base then try the server. Just put them back when you are done hosting. I have to move support.vl2 (writers support) in order to run a server.

Yes IP is necessary. Usually tricon ip is 1 higher than your game ip.

When I load the server, the server loads fine but the tricon 2 (i do believe crap pack functions) dont load properly. i.e. scripts/tricon2/menuitems/xdroptanks.cs

I know the problem is I dont even have a "menuitems" in the tricon2 folder. I am guessing thats my only problem.

If one could confirm this for me, I would appreciate it. And also, if this is indeed the case, could someone please send me the neccessary files (aggie or krusty (hint))

God Bless....thanks

LMAO - Don't get me started....

Grab the tricon stuff out of the www.cparegs.com/aggie/stuff folder.

I did....

I got all the tricon 2 files from the, I also grabbed a few extra from a site krusty gave me.

I believe I have all the files in the correct places....

tribes2/gamedata/t2start.bat
tribes2/gamedata/base/tricon2crappack
tribes2/gamedata/base/tricon2server
tribes2/gamedata/base/tricon2serverexpansion

These two following files are also in the tribes2/gamedata/base folder but I have them in another location also, I was not sure which folder they belonged in so I tried both until the server ran.

tribes2/gamedata/base/autoload.cs
tribes2/gamedata/base/console_end.cs

now for the tribes2/gamedata/base/scripts folder

tribes2/gamedata/base/scripts/triconconfig
tribes2/gamedata/base/scripts/triconconfig.cs
tribes2/gamedata/base/scripts/triconloadgame.cs
tribes2/gamedata/base/scripts/triconpackagegame
tribes2/gamedata/base/scripts/triconpackagegame.cs
tribes2/gamedata/base/scripts/triconpackagegame-original

tribes2/gamedata/base/scripts/tricon2/

tribes2/gamedata/base/scripts/tricon2/base (folder)
tribes2/gamedata/base/scripts/tricon2/packages (folder)
tribes2/gamedata/base/scripts/tricon2/menuitems (folder)
tribes2/gamedata/base/scripts/tricon2/tricon2client
tribes2/gamedata/base/scripts/tricon2/tricon2client.cs

tribes2/gamedata/base/scripts/tricon2/menuitems :

This folder just contains all the different functions I am trying to obtain on the server(force observer, shred, fart..) (i unzipped the vl2 labeled tricon2crappack and put the folder in the directory that Ispawn said it was trying to load these files from....it didnt work)

Let me know if all that sounds right for hosting the server, there are obviously more files in different places, I will list them if you think those (the above ones) are not the problem...
