But what would it be like? Couldn't you still cut off his arms? Or drop a bomb on him and make him into tiny pieces? Would he be alive like that? Or would he reform to his old state?

yeah do they grant you immortaility and schafry there are some villans that have immortailtiy like Garlic Jr. for instance =) and some other dragonballz people like piccolo and cell they can reguvenate their body parts
