I like looking at the screen shots. That's about it. Last I checked, they were about 60% complete with the game.
Oh yeah, I'm pissed that there is no shocklance.

From what I've seen of the demo movies and screenshots....
1. It looks great graphically. 2. I dislike the "step back in time" to an earlier technology. Those huge jet packs on the backs of the armors, etc... Hell the one looked like a freaking toilet tank. 3. ragdoll physics... I dunno... It looked cheesy in the demo. 4. I don't know that it will be able to support the huge maps we've grown to love. I don't know if the Unreal engine will support it. I know the Q3 engine won't. 5. It's going to be a biatch to skin. This pisses me off most I think. There's a large skinning community that will be lost on this game. 6. I'm gonna wait until I have a playable demo before making a decision to buy it or not.

I'll hope with the coding too...Unreal coding is farily simple shouldn't be to hard to remake the energy Sniper and SL

Heh. You can just port T2 to the T:V graphics engine. It'll be a grand time.
I will buy the game, but I might become the new-age T1 vet. The guy who doesn't play T:V and just sits in the forums and bashes it instead, because they took out the sl.

It seems like Thrax said the engine would suport large maps.
this engine is no longer the unreal engine, they have made some many changes to it to make feel like a tribes game should feel.
I got to play T:V when it was about 50% done, it felt great. The skiing, discing , jetting, the ragdoll is not even a factor, you die just respawn then you dont have to see it.

The maps that I played on where not even completed yet, but there was alot of room to make large maps before you got to the edge of the map.
I think most of the maps that will come with T:V will be small maps. It would be up to the community to make the maps that they want to make, I will try and find out some details.

Big pappa... Do you know if there will be flying vehicles? I only see land vehicles... Thats cool that you got to play it =) Sounds cool.. I heard something about making mods easier to in Tribes 3? I would like to know whats happening with that too. Thats all. Thanks

I would assume it would be easier to mod only because there would already be a large base of people already familiar with the engine.

Not sure if you were pointing this at me BigPappa...but the coding base will still be the same as the Unreal games. If you want to get a jump start go get one of those games and practice coding...same goes for mapping. Coding for T:V will be slightly easier then the datablocks, ShapeBaseImages,Function, if and then staement and etc that make up T2 coding (I really hate C++, I always end up misplacing a ; or {...SYNTAX ERROR)

Dude... I know what you mean! But LP made a good point, where's the vehicles?I kinda hope they make a better tranport, or an extra land vehicle that holds heavies, something...

It doesn't work anything like ti does now.
I already explained this too you Scharfy, geez. Repair pack is constantly repairing you, the wearer. You can use a full bar of repair pack energy to "excrete" a bunch of flying "nanorgs" into the air, which repair everything withing a certain radius. You do not have to hang around, they will continue repairing everything in that area even after you leave.
