Marvel at my extremely low quality photos that needed to be digitally enhance for quality purposes. The lighting in my parent's house is the worst!

Smith and Wesson 686P .357 Magnum Revolver. It holds seven rounds of either .357 mag or .38 special ammo, is double-action, and has a 4-inch barrel.

Gunnnn..

Moreeeee Gunnnn!

I think I'll need to fire this bad boy tomorrow.

for cheaper range shooting, I think you can also shoot regular .38 autoload rounds. Not as much kick as .357 or .38 either.
You will, of course, need to double check my idea though. It wouldn't be good if my suggestion caused your gun to get all jammed up.
EDIT: Mouse, I think you need to cut HIMs salary a bit. He's spending too much on firearms. Shotgun must've been 250 or so and the revolver must've been about 300.

I'm in the bottom 10% in the industry in pay. No pay cut for me.

On the other hand, he is making the best purchases possible.
Christmas time around home. I get a cell phone (still haven't figured out what for). My friend gets a knife (also not sure sure why). I say to him, I got a cell phone, you got that silly knife. He turns to me (holding the knife) "I also got a cell phone if I want it."
The moral of the story? Him needs to turn to a life of crime.

Okay, I haven't read any of the posts after mine because I'll do that when I get home but for now, here are my first targets. I don't know if this is good, but this is the first time I ever fired a handgun and the second time I've ever been at the range.
They are for 30 feet. I had a target at 60 feet and was able to hit the guy in the body with all the shots except my last one...that one hit the clip and the target fell to the floor :-(
 Target #1

Target #2

Not bad, target 2 has a lot of breathing and trigger pull... Remember to keep the meat of your finger on the trigger and not the first joint.
Did you cup your hand like I showed you or try and two fist the pistol?

Two-Fist and no meat. I end up pulling if I do all meat. My fingers are too long for that.

You definately shoot better than me. With my dads S&W .357 mag at 60 feet, I can barely hit the target. Then again, I suck at shooting. I've only been like 3 or 4 times.
As I was looking at your target, I was thinking to myself that something just looked wrong in that picture. It took a good minute or two before I realized it: In CA, we're not allowed to shoot at targets that have anything resembling a face. The closest thing to a human target that we are allowed to shoot is a human shilouette with a circular target drawn on the chest.
Stupid California laws. . .

yes you can.
I don't think it's legal to discharge a firearm within city limits anywhere in the US, but you can certainly go to a shooting range.

I set up an internal water cooling system. The pump is under the desk and can recycle water or just be plugged directly into a finite water source. Good stuff.
