Here's some optical-related jargon I learned in social studies: HOW TO FIND THE BLIND SPOT ON YOUR EYE 1. Close your left eye and focus on something distant. 2. Take your right index finger and at an arm's length, cover up the object with the tip of your index finger. 3. Move your right finger slowly to the right while keeping focus on the distant object. 4. You should notice that the tip of your finger dissapears and then reapears. That's how you find the spot on the back of your eye where the optic nerve sends stuff back to the brain (there are no rods or cones where the optic nerve is, so you can't see stuff there). The spot shouldn't be very far out. If you can't get it to work, you must be broken.
