Is this going to effect my current Tribes 2 install at all?

On another note, doing the upgrade, am I going to have alot of problems?

i did the upgrade not too long ago, I had no problems with tribes or any other thing....except....the copy of xp I had was..."bad"...and now I am experiancing problems installing new hardware such as a wireless network card....So just make sure you can get service packs and driver updates and everything and you should be fine.

If there is any way to do a fresh install I would do that. Make sure you have everything you need from computer on floppy or CD first.

if you have an nvidia card you may have problems running tribes. before you celebrate check to see if tribes likes the video driver.

I'm all updated and running fine, no probs in tribes.

Though the new driver makes things seem weird...

so I noticed. Unless you've got a light colored, highly textured background, I stand a decent chance of spotting you and I definately won't lose you once I have spotted you.

word.

I hate it when cloakers boost away any time there's a chance they may have been located. 80% of the time I run around, I'm wearing a cloak pack. When I hear another cloak pack near by, I turn mine off, locate the sound, and then start shooting at the footprints and funny blurry object.

Soo...when I come across cloakers, I'm wearing the same pack and likely have the same weapons --yet they ALWAYS run the hell away from me. Stop running you stupid noobs! Try staying and fighting me head on once in a while.

Come on now Master Krusty some of us are not as skilled in the way of the cloaker as you are.
To run is to live just a little longer!!

Feel free to run if you see me in a shield pack or an energy pack. Just don't stick your tail between your legs just because one plasma shot landed near you. I usually have a little health taken off. All it takes is one good plasma shot to kill me. Instead of running, take aim and fire away. I bet you'd win about half the time since I suck at shooting stuff.

Hey Insane Noob or not you are a good player as for Cloaking ask Krusty some Questions he is damn close to a master and practice alot.

As for Krusty the only time I run is in a cloak pack becuase once your found on some maps it is easy to see foot steps. my def of running is to not finish a fight once started.

It is better to run and live to fight the noobs.

*makes mental note to stand by a cloaker on my team so I can be around when Krusty uncloaks*

And I only run far enough to turn around for another shot. ;)

Feel free to stand near your friendly cloaker. I'd kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

I hate it when I wind up running by a teammate or a teammate runs by me and I wind up dying because someone shot at my teammate

I do the uncloaking thing as a defensive tactic. It usually happens near the vpad or at the entrance for our base. Those 2 spots tend to be infested with cloakers. In order to pinpoint them, I need to focus on the source of the sound by turning off my pack.

Soo...if you happen to stand near a cloaker, you'd probably be dead anyways. There have been times I've uncloaked to kill a cloaker and died by the hand of someone else though. Those things normally happen while I'm midfield and a sniper can see my red triangle because the cloaker put me in the sensor net. Lately, I've taken to not even bothering with enemy cloakers while midfield unless I happen to spot them in passing. It's not worth my dying when I'm already halfway to the enemy base.
