A little misap will render me teamspeak-less for a while. My dad was vacuuming my room when it got near a cord, the cord to my headset, and sucked it into the vacuum cleaner. The rest of it followed and jammed up the vacuum. The only solution was to yank out the cord, which severed it and yadda yadda yadda I won't do a lot of talking on teamspeak now. I hope to go buy a new one, soon.

get some electrical tape and fix it. just clip the ends clean and get a knife and take off a little of the coating. if you have those little twisty things they work nicely. electrical tape will work in a pinch though.

That'd be okay for something like a battery wire, but with a microphone, the copper would eventually oxidize and your sound quality would degrade. Better to spend 20 bucks and get a decent mic, given the already STELLAR quality of sound on TS. Heh.

If you want stellar sound quality you should go with Ventrilo. Much better codecs, I like the general layout more, and it has lots of neat functions, like buddy who talks.

We can go Ventrilo if all of you want but it(the free version)will only allow for eight people to be on at a time. Let me know if there is a way to host it locally and would allow for more players to jump on and I would be happy to make the switch.

The only bad thing I have to say about Ventrilo is the difference in volume of players. On Teamspeak 2 everyone sounded fairly the same. But on Ventrilo I can't hear some and others sound really loud. Like I can't hear Slayer unless I turn up my volume up high but then if someone like Cal talks it sounds like he is screaming into the mic. I know I am not the only one having this problem. But Ventrilo does sound a lot different. It will seem like you are talking to totally new people for about a week then they sound the same again. The only plus I had with Teamspeak was everyone was at the same volume except for Tbok.

It gets better, Pikey.
My computer just fried itself today. I'm not able to run certain programs as they fail. My dad and myself are working on it, but we aren't sure what's wrong. There are records of a Trojan connecting to my computer, but Norton didn't say anything about it. Also, the time that it was logged to have connected was while the computer was off. We also might think it's some kind drive failure or something technical like that. Everything works in safe mode, but not in regular mode. I'm writing this on a computer that doesn't have Tribes or TS.
So don't think I'm leaving you all (since you all enjoy my company greatly) I'm just having computer problems.
It's been a bad month for me.
I'm gonna go cry.

Oh Mike! I feel your pain!! My computer went boom almost a month ago (having serious Tribes withdrawals!!) and I just got it running a few days ago, and last night, bitdefender told me that a trojan named Psyme.V was trying to do something to me. I sure hope it's not the same one you had! Good luck with your problem!
