I'm a bit upset at the moment because I found out today in my school newspaper that Dick Dale was at our school library doing a 2 hour speech on tuesday. What really sucks abotu this is that my roommate brought his guitar to school that day. If we had only known about it, I would have got myself a once in a lifetime mini concert.
For those of you who don't know who Dick Dale is, he's pretty much the king of surfer guitar music. Title track for the movie pulp fiction, Misirlou, was played by him.

wow... that must really suck :|... your lucky to have any celebrities at all to go to your school... the best we got is a hockey referee by the name of Don Vanmassenhoven.... the most anti leaf referee i know >:(.

I'm actually missing a big concert thing today (FallFest) only because the bands headlining aren't bands I like. There are two hip hop bands (don't like hip hop) and MxPx, a punk band and I'm not much into punk. Oh well. We will have better bands at the Sun God festival this year. Last year, Cake was the headlining band.
...I still wish I could have seen Dick Dale and got him to play a bit though.
What school you go to lost? I'm attending UC San Diego.

S D C I - Strathroy District Collegiate Institute :| ... You probably never heard of it... I think the only famous person to come out of it is Canadian war general - Sir Aruthur Currie... but you probably never heard of him eihter :P

Hehe, so I guess your chances of getting Stone Temple Pilots to perform at a school event is slim to none for you.
Hey, ya know that mtv show, "I Bet You Will?" They did a show at my school right in front of the Library.

ya it is pretty slim... well... here in canada we need an american satelite to get MTV :/ all we have is Much Music - a scaled down canadian MTV

Alas, I missed yet another opportunity. 311 put on a free concert this week at my school...and I missed out yet again. This time I knew about it, but was too busy preparing for a midterm that day that I completely forgot to go check out the concert.
