Atari: Yeah, I assumed that if you did want that name, it would have been taken, and that was the case.
Cal: Ugh. I saw the movie for the first time on TV like 3 days ago. It was ok...but the incontinuities between it and the book were kinda bad in some cases. I thought the special effects were pretty good for the time though.

the movies sucked. they changed EVERYTHING completely ruined the book. i read the first and second books. loved the first hated the second, didnt bother to read any more of them...

meh im not a freak when it comes to accuracy i take the movies with a grain of salt... i dont even take them in context with the books i just make myself assume its someone elses take on dune...

Personally, accuracy is my thing. It defines me, makes me who I am.
I just always assumed that everyone else knew what they were talking about, and Atri was the one who couldn't spell. Then I saw like 3-4 other similar but not quite right offshoots of Atreides. I realised that the actual was almost definitely taken.

I don't like many of the Frank Herbert Dune books... other than the fist one. The Brian Herbert ones are good though. I'm still waiting for the Butlerian (SP) Jihad to make its way to paperback.
