It's the brother of XK1, which is afiliated with mousemod.

In retrospect, I kinda liked classic mousemod w\o boosts more than the base version. :P
But I wasn't one who complained very much anyway.

Please tell me...what is the diff between your mod and base?
Only things I see are shield pack and cloak pack (which are both highly unballanced). Oh yeah, you also got beacon boost. Besides that..what is diff. Not knocking the mod but anyone can tell that a player with the shield pack can own the mod since it doesn't drain. Where's the ballance in the mod?
And also, how can you ppl blame others for cheating with this so called proof of recording??? Give me a brake! There are lots of things that one player sees and others don't depending on their video/audio cards and such. It's a game ppl...stop acting like it's a crises. Grow up!

MouseMod has many aspects to it that may seem unfair to noobs, but in retrospect, all of the modifications on the server balance out the others.
The cloak and shield packs indeed don't drain. Snipers can have 1 hit headshot kills. Pretty much every weapon is amplified more powerful. The beacon boost as you stated are another mod, yet a mod that sets mousemod apart from any other.
Having the amplified weapons offsets the non-energy draining shield packs.
Recording a cheater is a regulars or non-regulars way of obtaining evidence against a suspected cheater. They would proceed to send that in to an Admin, who would further investigate the issue. If substantial evidence is gathered from that video footage, action will be taken against the player. If nothing seems suspicious enough, they will just be monitored in the future. There is yet another way for obtaining evidence against these cheaters, this way is generally used by the Administrators simply because if a regular were to try to execute this method, they would simply be laughed at.
As for you telling us to grow up, well, the Administrators and Regulars like the server and how it is ran. By eliminating the cheaters we provide a fair, fun, and cheat free environment that is suitable for all.
And referring to the post you made, I will provide a spelling and grammar check for no extra charge, simply because you are a newb.

I don't remember seeing any of that proof of recording stuff in the thread or anywhere else.
As for the mod, you could always check out the mousemod FAQ, found through a link on the home page of this site.
I can sum it up here:
-Some weapons have increased damage: Chaingun, rifle, plasma, mortar... is that it?
-The cloak pack and shield have had their drain significantly lowered to make them worthwhile
-other minor tweaks such as pilot ejects of players from vehicles, team-friendly mines, etc.
The purpose of this mod is not to have some lame "mind-blowing" gimmick, or totally unbalanced weapons, with 6 new armors and the kind of stuff you see on Ninjamod or Xtremekills/XK1 (ala hack gun) but instead to fine-tune the balance of tribes 2 to more suit what the fans and more specifically PHX-Mouse thought the game should play right.
The shield is much stronger, and true, a talented player can whup a whole team of n00bs, but then, n00bs wouldn't think to use the blaster, which ignores shielding, or throw concussion grenades, would they?
If you think the mod is unbalanced, I suggest you spend some time to intimate yourself with Mousemod's unique flavour of gameplay and come back with your unfounded assumptions at a later date.

Man <boy>, you read way too much into things. A little anal are we? You need another life <soul>.
The mod is unballanced whether you say so or not! But that is what you boys <and girls> like about it then so be it. Like I said, I'm not knocking the mod. But one team is always dominating the other in every game. Do u <you> see something wrong with this? Thanks for the spelling lessons. What a guy. You actually wasted the time to do that. But man, you boys don't <do not> like anyone. Besides, beacon boost are everywhere.

Just thought I'd let you know that this is a friendly community and the people here don't take kindly to personal insults. It's one way we are able to hold ourselves in higher standing than most other online communities frown upon the children that take offense easily and like to offend in response.

And FYI, I origionally played mousemod back when Tribes started because the game was brand new and people didn't yet know how to watch for cloakers. I stayed there because I liked the server rules and the people I met there.
