I don't know about you guys..but i love the idea of the carnivore. medium-fast ground transport. But it reads buildings in area, unable to deploy... guess i gotta go play a lil shifter and see what it deploys, i really hope it isn't an mpb.

yes unfortunatly . regardless, some of the vehicles are cool. i flew a 1 man bomber thats increadibly manuverable (possibly more than shrike [or its just my imagination]). there is a bike for each suit, thats right a heavy bike, slow as hell, but faster than walking (in straight line). i really liked the transport jeep . i knew i would, it seats 6 (counting pilot) and i found can go over terrain SLIGHTLY more rough than the mpb, still no humvee. the system for vehicles w/ turrets is nice, clik to take control of turret, click to go back to driving. i can't see these vehicles in cpa, i would like to see one or two of them.... but that's not really my call, if there were a vote, i would vote for the carnivore and the griffon, nothin else. carnivore is not over powered, and its medium-slow, and can flip, and griffon... i just like bombing...why not do it while moving troops?

Initially I was WoW!, but after trying it for a few games.... well, it's more overblown that Renegades.
There's some cool things in it, that by themselves would add a new dimension to CPA. I love the idea of a ground transport.
That tactical nuke, is too much though. cripes...

The ground transport is soooo close to what I'd like to have on CPA.
2 versions though:
A: Heavy Delivery system, wheeled Havoc with an MPB backend (inventory)
B: Heavy Assualt system, wheeled Havoc, front seats are turrets that can be changed for each mission type, middle seats are control/gunner seats for turrets, and rear seat is TG of some type or an alternate weapons system that a gunner position can control.
Now, looking at the Griffon, put the turrets as described above - TG position is it's own turret controlled from the bombardier seat and make that puppy airborne - BUT slow top end and you've got the T2 B-52!

I forget where I saw it... one of the tribes sites but it was a havoc with the four seats replaced with base turrets and it could hold a TG in the usual spot. I thought this would be cool to load up with mortar turrets and take it to the nme base. Those mortar turrets are murderous as their boomies explode on impact and therefore give less time for the intended victim to jet away.

Soil, THat was in the BONES mod. THat beast was nasty. it had 2 plasma turrets and 2 AA turrets.

If you guys can find vehicles that are compatible with any mod (and not client side) I'll do my best to get them installed on CPA.
We looked at adding the Jazz but it's too much hacking to integrate.

nononono not bones, i've seen the havoc gunship in a dogfight mod or some crap, and i know i didnt DL anything for it. it was some sort of dogfight mod anyways, if not dogfight itself, all flying stuff.
ill go hunt it down, vsto.

Yeah i was looking on the internet and i saw a ton of good idea for ground transports and stuff. i just have to retrack and find out where i found them. I think that if u added some new spice to CPA it would be awesome and a ground transport is a hell of an idea, also a bomber with 2 more seats so a bomber squad can be nice and drop off a heavy or 2. i willl keep looking. mr bb

The "Plasma" turrets just sap energy, so that + AA turrets=dead shrikes

I'd be real careful in any vehicle you add to make sure it isn't going to dominate the game. As much as I like the Jazz it is almost too powerful. Seems like you'd want to greatly limit the number available if you add something like that. I DO like the idea of ground transport, etc. since I don't think that would throw off the balance of the game.
Maybe I'm a purist, but I like to see the offense/defense kept in check. ie. If you add some wizbang flying vehicle that can swoop in and kill everything then you should more than likely add a wizbang rocket turret that can shoot it down.
